- Sikorsky S-39 seaplane owned by flight instructor Irving T. Woodhams on the lake at the Austin Lake Airport and Seaplane Base. Irving Woodhams owned and operated the Austin Lake Airport and Seaplane Base in Portage, Michigan, from 1938 to 1963. Irving Woodhams developed the airport to train Navy students who were continuing in aviation.
