- Program booklet for the Second Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory on Tuesday, January 12, 1897. The booklet consists of a half-folded sheet bound with white string ending in a yellow tassel into a half-folded cover with a red illustration of a horse-drawn fire engine against a white and blue background on the front. The program of dances to be performed to the music of Schremser's Orchestra, as well as the list of committee members are contained within. The program was printed by Hunter and Schenren at 178 Brush Street.

- Invitation card to the First Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at the Light Guard Armory (noted in the invite as formerly being Fireman's Hall), on Friday, February 14, 1896, printed in red on pink. A green illustration of a horse-drawn fire engine serves as the background. It has been embossed with both a notary public seal, and one consisting of a loop of fire hose encircling a ladder, and a crossed hook, ax, and bugles. The ticket price is listed as $1.

- Dinner menu from a ball held by the Duke of Nassau on January 12, 1866. The menu is in French. The Nassau coat of arms depicting a gold lion rampant and seven billets on a blue field is printed at the top. "Ball at Duke of Naßau Palais - Mr. Drake Wiesbaden," is handwritten at the bottom.

- Program booklet, in the shape of a firefighter's helmet in profile, for the Sixth Annual Fireman's Ball held by Ex-Firemen's Association, Detroit, at the Light Guard Armory on April 8, 1901. The two helmet-shaped leafs, containing information about the event, a list of committee members and floor managers, and a dance card, are bound to the cover by a red string. "L.G. Meiner, Eng." is printed near the lower left corner of the cover. The invitation was printed by Winn and Hammond.

Committee members are listed on the left flap, information about the event is in the central panel, and a lithograph of a horse-drawn fire engine is on the right flap. - Invitation to the Independence Ball held July 4, 1831 at Woodworth's Hotel, addressed to Mary Catherine Brevoort, and dated July 1, 1831. "Mrs. Brevoort" is handwritten beneath a lithographic print of an eagle holding an "e pluribus unum," banner in its beak. "Mrs. Brevoort is again handwritten on the verso, so that her name would be displayed on top when the sheet was folded in thirds. A.S. Porter, J. Winder, I.S. Rowland, and M.F. Abbott are listed as the hotel's managers.
