Rolshoven Co., is visible on the corner, and Hudson's is visible, adjacent on Gratiot. Automobiles are parked along the curb, and are also moving along the thoroughfare. Streetcars and horse carriages are also visible. Pedestrians populate the sidewalk, and the intersections. The subject, date, and photographic sequence numbers are printed on the bottom of the recto, "Hudson's; August 15 - 14; No. - 13.; 7882." Also, the photographer's name, and geographic location are stamped on the verso, "Charles Ruel Messinger, Commercial Photographer, 1646 Woodward Ave. Detroit, Mich.
