Printed on verso: Capitol Square Park, situated in the business district of the city, is one of the many small breathing spots which Detroit's Park and Boulevard Commission keeps beautiful the year round. It takes its name from the fact that, for several years, the building housing the Michigan offices occupied the property, before the center of government was transferred to Lansing. Clark's Park is situated on Clark, Scotten and Dix Avenues. Half of it was donated by John P. Clark in 1890 and the balance purchased by the city. It comprises 23 acres and it one of the many beautiful parks in the city. Band concerts are given at regular intervals during the summer season. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Apr, 1914.
