Scott discusses how the FGP worked and what made it effective, the process for choosing and removing Faculty Grievance Officials (FGO), and the personal style of some of the former FGOs. Scott also talks about the tension in universities between teaching and research and how this tension affects strategic planning, hiring, salaries, and administrative priorities.
