- A collection of publications and materials about and by Lansing-area local authors, gathered by staff of the Lansing Public Library and the Capital Area District Libraries over the years. The majority of the collection is poetry chapbooks or smaller independently-published items. There are several editions of locally-compiled and published educational booklets, as well as sheet music and lyrics, small memoirs, articles and short stories, and sometimes correspondence concerning a particular piece of writing in its file. The collection is broken into three series: Individual Publications, Group Publications, and Other Local Author Related Material. This collection is added to on an ongoing basis. If you are an Ingham County author or publisher, or you have written about the greater Lansing area or its people, and you would like to see your work added, please contact the Forest Parke Library and Archives.
