- This collection was created by Hazel D. Wilcox. She was born in St. Johns, Michigan on May 12, 1986 and died on March 27, 1980 in Meridian in Ingham County, Michigan. Hazel was the only child of Carl C. and Marion D. Wilcox. Carl C. Wilcox was an employee of the J.W. Knapp Company. She never married and attended Lansing Business University. Hazel worked at Hayes Motor truck Wheel Company in St. Johns in 1918 and applied for a position with Prudden Wheel Company. She eventually worked for Motor Wheel. The collection also includes correspodence between Hazel and R. V. Gay who spent time overseas with American Students Reconstruction Unite. Hazel resided at 752 N. Logan Street in the 1940s and 50s as recorded in several diaries from the collection.
