- One plan sheet entitled, "Main Deck Plating for Fire Tug, Clevelander." The drawing consists of ink on linen and shows a plan view of the main deck and structural framing for the fire tugboat, Clevelander. (Other sheets in this plan set reference the George A. Wallace.) The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by the "Manitowoc Ship Building & Dry Dock Co." at a scale of 3/8 inch = 1 foot and is dated October 12, 1915. The plan number is shown as "3606."

- Photograph. Sepia-toned composite photo that shows the members of the International Shipmasters' Association in 1894. The photo includes oval-shaped, head and shoulders portraits of 154 captains. The name of the captain and the name of his ship are shown beneath each portrait. A small engraved drawing entitled, "Neptune Calming the Seas," is shown at the center of the composite. A small note at the center lower edge of the composite shows "Copyright, 1894, By J. H. Bowles, 94 Reade St., N.Y." Names that are repeated twice include: "D. McLachlan" (captains) and "City of Cleveland" (ships).

- Description:
- One insurance policy letter issued by the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co. of Newark, New Jersey, and dated April 12th 1867. The "Policy No. 44.317" was issued for the "Life of James McAuley" and notes "In consideration of the extra payment of one half per cent, Ten dollars, the insured has permission to act as Master of any good steam or sailing vessel navigating any of the Northern Lakes or Western Rivers within the limits of his policy for one year from April 2, 1867." The policy letter was signed by "E. A. Strong, Scty. [Secretary]" and has a red 5-cent U.S. Internal Revenue stamp affixed at the bottom of the page.

- One plan sheet entitled, "Rudder and Shoes for Strs. 59 & 60." The drawing consists of black ink on linen and shows details of the rudder assembly for the proposed wooden-hulled, propeller-driven, passenger steamships. The plan (number A-3-106-107) was prepared at a scale of 3/4 inch = 1 foot by the Detroit Dry Dock Company and is dated March, 1882. (Steamer numbers 59 and 60 were the Detroit Dry Dock hull numbers for the passenger steamships that were known as F.&P.M. No. 1 and F.&P.M. No. 2, respectively.)

- One drawing entitled, "3/4" Southard's Messenger Chain Wheels with 6 and 19 Lugs." The drawing (No. 1379) consists of black ink on linen and shows details of the mechanical workings of a windlass. Pencil shading has been used to show portions of the section details in gray. The plan was prepared at full size scale by the "American Ship Windlass Co., Providence, R.I." and is dated March 21, 1888.

- One navigational chart entitled "St. Lawrence River, Detail Sheet No. 6, From Galop Rapids to Point Iroquois." The title block near the top of the sheet indicates "Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., in charge" and that the chart area was "Surveyed under the direction of Lieut. W. R. Livermore, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:10,000 and is printed in black ink on white paper. Survey information includes water depths in feet, depth contour lines, shoal and current notes, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, towns, roads, property lines, north arrow, and survey triangulation points. The chart is dated 1871.

- "Number 14, Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co. First Mortgage, 5 Per Cent, $5000 Registered Gold Bond" (14 of 30). The bond is printed in printed in red, green, and black ink on white paper that is watermarked "Broun-Green Beaver Bond." It has a decorative engraved green border with engraved images at the top that depict Lady Liberty and other figures that represent American industry and a bountiful harvest. Black, Old-English style text shows the company name, "Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Co." and lists the terms of the bond issuance and repayment. The bond has been signed by "Harris T. Dunbar, President," and "Frederick C. Slee, Secretary," and is dated March 15, 1904. The 20-year bonds were due for repayment on March 15, 1924. A round, embossed company seal is located near the lower left corner of the bond. The verso contains blank spaces which have handwritten text that show the date and name in whom the bond was registered along with the signature of the company Treasurer. Other handwritten text and notes showed subsequent bond ownership reassignments with signatures.

- One 2-page letter, dated February 10, 1909, from Fleet Falconer Williams & Bovey, of Montreal, to Messrs. Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company, of Buffalo. The letter is typewritten in blue ink on white paper that is watermarked "Superfine Linen Record" and has a shield emblem. The letter is a response to a previous request by Dunbar & Sullivan for a statement of assets and liabilities of the Abbey Effervescent Salt Company.
