- Print. Sepia-toned photographic print with "Detroit Detectives and detectives from other cities at Elks' Convention in Detroit, 1910, Capt. McDonald" handwritten on verso. The detectives pose on the stairway outside of the Police Headquarters on Bates Street and Farmer Street. The majority are dressed in coats, ties, and boater hats. A smaller group of similarly dressed men are visibly leaning on an iron railing at the upper right. Photo is mounted on heavy cardstock.

- Photograph (and 1 copy). Sepia-toned photo showing 34 Detroit Police lieutenants standing on the steps in front of the entrance to the old Police Headquarters building which was located at the corner of Bates and Farmer Streets. The street name signs are visible on the sides of the building in the upper right and upper left areas of the photo. Handwritten text on the verso shows "Old Police Headquarters, 1920" and "Top row, Left to right: Lieutenants Fisher, Denny O'Connor, Shanahan, Teichbein, Foust, Berg. 2nd Row down: Lieutenants Edwards, Knight, Fienan, Maloney, Reifsthall, Van Netter. 3rd Row down: Lieutenants Ryff, Baxter, Sosinki, McGuigan, Fitzpatrick, McRobbie. 4th Row down: Lieutenants Sterenton, Bates, Baker, Dingiman, Doyle, Schuknecht, Henderson. Front Row: Lieutenants Blisser, Smith, Schink, Cris, Johnson, Torbett, Schachschneider, Miller, Patterson." An additional inscription notes "To Insp't. Chas. Rhodes, Compliments of Insp't. J. N.
