- This women's ballgown of creamy white satin has a fitted bodice with jewel neckline and long sleeves. The skirt is gathered at the waist, and has a side seam pocket. There are large rhinestones and silver beads at the neckline and cuffs. There is a back zipper closure. Label: "DESIGNED BY SARMI, NEW YORK," and "BONWIT TELLER." Worn by Mrs. Helen Milliken at 1970 and 1974 inaugural balls, her husband was the governor of Michigan from 1969 to 1983. He had previously served as Michigan's Lieutenant Governor from 1965 to 1969 .

- Woman's forest green, wool gabardine suit. The suit is single breasted and has an eight button front closing. The jacket is hip-length, and has padded shoulders, and long straight sleeves with turned-up button cuffs. Slash pockets are positioned at the hips. Lined, with side zipper, and a front placket. - This woman's afternoon dress of brown silk crepe has a fitted bodice with a deep waistline. There is a mock bow across the sheer brown yoke, and another bow around the drop waist with long ties hanging down the front. There is a back zipper, and the long sleeves have zippers at the cuffs. - Woman's beige silk shantung ensemble comprised of a sleeveless shift and coat. The shift has a jewel neckline, and ribbon-embroidered flowers in orange, yellow, rust and green. The front panel of the skirt is lined in crepe, and there is a back zipper closure. The double breasted coat has covered buttons, flap pockets and a wide collar. Worn by donor. - Women's dress. Black and white striped cotton. two piece. Long full skirt. Gathered at waist by drawstring. Ruffle attached near bottom. Skirt edged with black binding tape around bottom. Top is long, over blouse fitted at waist. Narrow stand-up collar. Long fitted sleeves. End of sleeves and bottom edge of blouse trimmed with ruffle of same material. Buttons all the way down the front. Round black buttons with faceted surfaces.

- This woman's cloak is made of a striped wool (red, blue and brown on tan). It has a pointed yoke and standing collar of brown velvet, and self fabric buttons down its front. The back is fitted with very low bustle, and the pleated front hides the arm slits. Unlined. It was described in the original accession records as a traveling cloak. The cloak was worn by Annie Caskey Turner (Mrs. Samuel) of Detroit. Label: Compagnie Russe, 26 Chausse D'Antin and Blvd. Hausseman 23.

- This black wool, single breasted woman's jacket is mid-thigh length with a concealed front button closing and a center back pleat. There is a small velvet collar and wool lapels. There are vertical strips of wool over the seams which shape the coat to the figure. There are three strips on the sleeves: two cover the seams and one is false. The long, curved set-in sleeves have notched cuffs. The jacket is lined in black taffeta. Label: "Newcomb Endicott Co."

- This woman's short capelet is made of black seal fur with large panels of white loon feathers. It has a wide ruffled black seal collar with band of white loon feathers around edge. It is lined with gold and gray brocade, and has two small pockets inside. The capelet belonged to Mrs. Emory Low Ford.
