- "Pipp's Weekly," Vol. VI, No. 25, September 26, 1925; published weekly by E. G. Pipp of Detroit, Michigan. The cover article is entitled, "Detroit on to 2,000,000." The magazine features articles about the growth of the city as well as the convention business, Wayne County roads, and the Muscle Shoals development. There are also many advertisements for real estate.

- Two page spread from a supplement to the August 17, 1889 issue of "Harper's Weekly," concerning the Detroit International Exposition and Fair of 1889. An engraving, by Francis Schell and Thomas Hogan, captioned, "General View of the Buildings and Grounds of the Detroit International Fair and Exposition," is on the recto showing the exposition site, including the large Main Building, several smaller structures, and tends, and two ponds all enclosed in a stockade, positioned to the southwest of Fort Wayne, as viewed from the air to the southwest. The Detroit River runs along the site with a small canal leading a dockside gate. An article entitled, "Detroit and Her International Fair and Exposition," written by William Willard Howard is on the verso of the illustration. The articles discusses the events and attractions planned for the exposition, as well as offering general information on the city. The article includes engraved portraits of the event's backers senator James McMillan, U.S. Minister to Spain Thomas W. Palmer, General Russell A. Alger, and seed magnate Dexter M. Ferry, as well as illustrations of City Hall, The Museum of Art, and Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.

Several black and white photos are included within. The booklet is bound in a beige paper cover with an illustration of a sun on the front.

- Magazine article that has been torn out from "Detroit Illustrated," pages 67-72. The article is entitled "The Legal History of Detroit. By Alfred Russell." The magazine text and pictures are printed in black ink on slightly yellowed paper and the pages have been crudely handsewn to a brown paper back cover. ("Detroit Illustrated" was published by Harry H. Hook in Detroit in 1891.)

- Promotional magazine from the Michigan Stove Company, advertising Garland Stoves and Ranges. On the book's front cover is an image of a woman's face in profile inside a circular decorative motif, as well as images of branches with flowers on them, a garland, and long-stemmed flowers. Written on the front cover is "The Garland Magazine; Circulation: One Million; Published By The Michigan Stove Company; Detroit.; Chicago.; Buffalo;." Stamped in blue below the title is "Zimmerman Bros. Agts, Marine City, Mich." Printing of the magazine is credited to the Hammond Press, W.B. Conkey Company, Chicago. On the back cover is text, written inside a backdrop of rectangules with fleurs-de-lis in them, advertising the fact that more Garland stoves are sold each year than any other stove. Contained within the magazine are anecdotes, jokes, poems and everday life tips amidst advertisements for Garland Stoves and Ranges.
