- This Chest, in the collection of the Newark Museum, consists of a plain rectangular carcase veneered in rosewood. There is a slight bow to the front and a recessed base of darker wood having inlaid vertical stripes of rosewood. There are three veneered drawers to the object, each with a circular concave mat brass pull.
This piece bears partial B. Altman Label. This indicates that it was manufactured before 1939.
There is a stencil on the back with the product number indicating it was part of the 3600 series. This suggests a design date of 1936.
