- West side of South Main Street. The two-story brick building directly behind the tree is the Harvey J. Taylor hardware store, later known as Case Hardware. To the right is the O.H. Neff Building, which was used as a grocery store and pool hall before it was demolished to make way for the First National Bank Building in 1924. - The Rochester Community Schools float for the 1969 Rochester Centennial Parade. The float is red and blue and reads "Growing, Growing, Growing" on the side in increasingly large font. Many school children sit on and in the float waving. They dressed in early settler clothing with aprons and bonnets. - Description:
- Barkham Mill was located on the west side of Main Street at First Street, on the Clinton River. It was built in 1837 by Johnson Niles and was originally known as Old South Grist Mill. The business changed hands several times and was acquired by Steven W. Barkham and Beal Barkham in 1903. The mill was destroyed by fire in December 1927.
