- One navigational chart entitled, "General Chart of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes, Including New York State Canals and Lake Champlain," that was compiled and published by the U.S. Lake Survey, War Department, Corps of Engineers. The chart (No. 0) is a polyconic projection and is drawn at a scale of 1:1,200,000. It shows all of the Great Lakes region from Duluth, Minnesota, to Lake Champlain and the Hudson River in New York. General topographic details and notes are printed in black. Land areas are shaded pale yellow. Lake areas are shaded white or light blue depending upon water depth and also include contour lines for water depths in fathoms. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lines of magnetic variation are shown in red. Principal lighthouses are shown in red and yellow. Information tables are shown on the right and left sides of the chart for U. S. and Canadian canals, dry dock locations, and annual lake level fluctuations. Printed text near the center lower edge shows "Aids to Navigation Corrected from Information Received to June 20, 1916."

- One navigational chart entitled "St. Lawrence River, Detail Sheet No. 6, From Galop Rapids to Point Iroquois." The title block near the top of the sheet indicates "Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., in charge" and that the chart area was "Surveyed under the direction of Lieut. W. R. Livermore, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:10,000 and is printed in black ink on white paper. Survey information includes water depths in feet, depth contour lines, shoal and current notes, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, towns, roads, property lines, north arrow, and survey triangulation points. The chart is dated 1871.

- One drawing entitled "Sketch of Fort Wayne Showing the Condition of its Non-Armament, June 30th, 1869, in Response to Circular from Office of the Chief of Engineer, May 25th, 1869." The drawing consists of black ink on heavy tan paper and shows a plan view of the outer walls of the fort. Artillery placement locations are numbered throughout the fort along with short notes concerning the type of construction and existing conditions. A long north arrow line ("true meridian") cuts diagonally across the fort sketch. Two handwritten notes near the upper left corner of the drawing are transcribed as follows: "1. Note. Not a gun is mounted, nor is there a gun carriage at the fort. 2. Note. The circular 'uses high or low traverse stones' - 'High and low' as here used, are somewhat indefinite for 'exact' comprehension. I have therefore given the difference of level between the upper surface of the iron circle on the pintle block and the iron circle on the traverse stones. Now if this does not give the information desired as to the whether traverse stones are high or low, then I respectfully request a response to the cross sections of all the platforms, which must be in the Engineer Department Office, where the 'references' will show whether the traverse stones be high or low when compared with the crest line or terre/plain, and the word, high or low, can then be put in the blanks for which it will be seen I have left room there 'Traverse stones ----- :' U. S. Engr. Office, Detroit, 15th July 1869, T. J. Cram, Col. Engrs., Bvt. Maj. Gen'l."

- One drawing entitled "Survey of Northern and Northwestern Lakes, Design of Intersection Protractor." Notes beneath the title indicate that the protractor was "Made under the direction of Major W. L. Fisk, Corps of Engineers, U.S.A., and E. E. Haskell, Prin. Asst. Engineer, by Murray Blanchard, Junior Engineer." The plan is drawn in red and black ink on linen and is dated April, 1904. The drawing was prepared at full scale and shows plan, profile, and cross-section views for the design of a protractor which was used for drawing lake survey charts. Additional notes at the bottom of the title block give the following specifications: "Make bar of steel, graduated arcs of German silver, and other parts of brass. Protractor arms are nickel plated. Graduate protractors to 1/2 degree and verniers to 1 minute."
