Businesses on the right (west side of street) include the First National Bank of Rochester, Carpenters Mens Wear and C.W. Case Hardware. - Description:
- C. W. Case standing inside his hardware store with counters and goods displayed. The store was originally owned by Harvey J. Taylor and was located on the west side of Main Street and was built in 1889. In 1899, Charles Wallace Case, Taylor's nephew, took over the business and it eventually became known as C.W. Case Hardware or just Case Hardware. After Case's death in 1944, his son, Mason Case, took over the business. The building was destroyed by fire in 1968.
