- The ball park, which opened in 1925 south of Woodward Avenue and west of Pine Street, acquired lighting and a grand stand after Detroit Edison Supervisor Fred Halbach raised funds for improvements in 1936. - Description:
- The Dillman & Upton Lumber Company has occupied various locations within Rochester, and at the time of this photograph, was located on the west side of North Main Street. Charles W. Upton started the business near 311 West Fifth Street (University Drive) about 1908, focusing primarily on selling coal. Around 1919, the business moved to this location at 543 North Main Street and was taken over by Upton's nephew, Roy G. Upton, and son-in-law, Arthur R. Dillman. From the 1950s onward, the business continued to diversify it's products and continued to grow. In 1987, Dillman & Upton moved to 607 Woodward Avenue.
