A family of five, presumably the Beasaws, consisting of a woman, a man, two young girls, and a boy toddler dressed in early twentieth century clothing are posed on the house's front porch. - Sepia-toned photo showing 13 members of the Detroit Fire Department. The firemen are arranged in two rows with seven standing in back and six seated in front. The closed doors of a fire station are visible in the background. Handwriting on the verso notes, "Seated 4th from right, Capt. Lucius Tate, Detroit Fire Dept., retired 1911." The photo is mounted on dark gray cardboard.

- Sepia-toned group portrait photograph of the Directors of the Dime Savings Bank taken in William Livingstone's home. The group is all dressed in tuxedos and bowties. From left to right, the group consists of Henry Ford, Horatio N. Hovey, Hugh Wallace, James McKay, George Barbour, Richard Webber, William Livingstone, Augustus C. Stellwagon, R.H. Fyfe, Bethune Duffield, Charles A. Warren (taken from another photo and inserted into this one as if he were kneeling behind the chair), Marshall Godfrey, and William Livingstone, Jr. The photo is mounted on brown cardstock.

- Cabinet card bearing a sepia-toned bust portrait photograph of Jacob Merritt Howard. Howard is wearing a waistcoat, vest, and high-collared shirt. HIs hair is short and slightly ruffled. He is looking straight at the camera with his eyes half closed. The signature of the photographer C.M. Hayes is handwritten near the lower right corner.

- Description:
- Mounted sepia-toned group portrait photograph of the firefighters of Hose Company No. 1 posed with their horse-drawn hose apparatus, in front of the entrance of the Detroit Fire Department Headquarters. Each man in identified through a handwritten caption beneath them. W. Heck sits on the driver's bench of the apparatus, holding the reigns of the two-horse team. F. Arnold, T. Drury, C. Walsh, and G.S. Goldwater stand lined up beside the apparatus. A relief over the door of the headquarters reads, "Fire Department Headquarters, 1882." Two large bay entrances to the building are also in the background. The bay doors for the one behind the Hose Company No. 1's apparatus are open. "Hose Co. No. One, Taken August 15th 1903." is handwritten in ink at the bottom center of the photo. The photo is mounted on grey mat board.

- Sepia-toned composite group portrait of the members of the Detroit Fire Department in 1890, composed of 207 separate head-and-shoulder portraits of unidentified firefighters arranged in rows on the right, and, on the left, portraits of Chief James Battle, Assistant Chiefs James R. Elliott and Mark H. Gascoigne, First Battalion Chief John Kendall, Second Battalion Chief James C. Broderick, Third Battalion Chief William J. Gowan, Superintendent of Horses Allan. Armstrong, and Master Mechanic Francis Beaufait, as well as a photo of Detroit Fire Department Headquarters on the northeast corner of Wayne Street and Larned Street. Images of several pieces of firefighting equipment for a design surrounding the portrait of Battle, and the left edge of the image. A.G. McMichael, Artist & Photo, 210 & 212 Woodward Ave. Copyright 1891 by A.G. McMichael" is printed in the lower left corner.

- Sepia-toned group portrait photograph taken of (left to right) Helen Bourne Joy Lee, Helen Hall Newberry, and Edith Stanton Newberry at the 30th wedding anniversary dinner of Helen Hall Newberry Joy and Henry Bourne Joy, Sr.. Edith wears the wedding dress of her mother-in-law Helen P. Newberry. The trio stand in a parlor room furnished with screens, a side table with a vase of flowers, and an enclosed book case. "L. to R. Mrs. Helen Joy Lee, Mrs. Henry B. Joy, Mrs. John S. Newberry, Jr. wearing wedding dress of Mrs. John S. Newberry, Sr.," is handwritten on the verso.

- Two photographic prints mounted to opposite sides of the same oval-shaped board. Recto bears a sepia-toned photo of City Hall Market, an open-air marked filled with booths, horses, and carts set up behind the City Hall that was in service until 1872, in the present site of Cadillac Square. A sign for "Provisions" is visible along the storefronts on the left side of the picture. A man, three children, a dog, and a horse and a cart are in the middle ground. A woman with a parasol, and a fence or railing that reads, "Hanging 102" is in the foreground. Verso bears a hand-colorized portrait of a seated woman in a purple dress, with white sleeves and a collar. Her hair is pulled back into a chignon and she wears a cross around her neck.

- Black and white photograph of Henry and Clara Ford's neighbors on Alexandrine Avenue. Thirteen people are in the picture; nine women and four men stand to the side of a wood house, near the steps leading to the front entrance. Attached to the back of the photograph was a typewritten copy of a letter sent from Helen G. Doremus to Henry Ford stating the following: Dear Mr. Ford: Mary, Bob, and Frank join me in sending our very best wishes to you for your birthday. The enclosed snap is one I found the other day when looking through a box of pictures and I thought Mrs. Ford and you might be in it. These people were neighbors on Alexanderine Ave. I do not know all of them, but I do remember some-- perhaps you know the rest. The two ladies seated in the center (left) Mrs. Mills (right) Mrs. Green. The man and woman standing back of them are Gus Mills and Helen Mills Porter. The lady with the derby hat is Kit Green and the lady in white standing back of the hammock is Lillie Muehle. The note on the back of the picture is in Miss Muehle's writing.
