Map, "Plan of the City of Detroit," from page 80 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, copyright 1887 by Wm. M. Bradley & Bros. The map shows the City of Detroit, separated into 13 wards with green, pink, and yellow shading. The map is bound to the west by Twenty Fourth Street, to the south by the Detroit River, to the east by Mt. Elliott Avenue, and to the north by W. Milwaukee Street. In addition to roads, the map also indicates railroad lines, including Michigan Central R.R., Grand Trunk R.R., Detroit & Toledo R.R. The reverse side of the page features page 79 of Mitchell's New General Atlas, which contains a portion of a map of Michigan.
