Notes:

Full head of thick clumps of locks framing bearded, moustached face. Hair in back depicted in long, straight strands which follow curve of head and hug nape of neck. Orange-red clay moulded solid. Front: white chips around face, notably scrapes in outer corner of right eye and between upper left cheek and hairline. Back: Damage along nape and raised edge of collar area. Gouge in bulge of head. Bottom: Chipped spots along central depressed area, black crustations. The character of the marks to the back of the head and to the bottom suggest that the head was fixed in its cold state for attachment to a separate piece.
