Notes:
Child Harpocrates seated with right leg extended, holding tall piriform amphora to side with left arm and raising right forefinger to lip. Wears double crown atop flounced, stippled head-band with fillet, the tails of which drape on his shoulders. Free, wavy locks flow out from face. Sharp eyebrow ridges form strong horizontal across circular face. Eyelids heavy and open at inner corners. Faint smile. Limbs short and chubby, small hands and feet. Saggy and protruding abdomen. Coiffure and pelvic dimples indicated on back. Flat, closed base for placement on separate piece, perhaps lotus. Red clay (Muns. 10YR4/6) Minor abrasions. Hollow moulded and slipped weak red. Circular vent in back.
