Portrait of Perry T. Rathbone, art historian and director of the Detroit Institute of Arts' Russell A. Alger House. Rathbone was also the director of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in the 1950's and head of the New York office of Christie's in the 1970's, he died in 2000.
