Georgian residence of Roy D. Chapin, one of the founders of the Hudson Motor Car Company: The house was built in 1927 in Grosse Pointe Farms and was designed by John Russel Pope. The "impression sought was one of dignity rather than spendour." (From Buildings of Detroit by W. H. Ferry)
