Karanis; Textiles; Wool

Notes:

Very small fragment of brown woven wool fabric with the join between the ribbed selvedge and the twined border present. A cord formed by some of the twining yarns was stitched into the fabric. There is a small remnant of a divided pinstripe, 0.3 cm wide, with 3 picks of purple, 3 picks of undyed linen and 3 picks of purple. There is a stitch that crosses the pinstripe.
