Samuel D. Ingham

- A photographic duplicate of an oil painting of Samuel D. Ingham. The original is held by the Mercer Museum of the Bucks County Historical Society, Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The artist was Martin J. Heade and the painting was created in 1855. Ingham County was named for Samuel D. Ingham, who served in various roles in the Pennsylvania and federal governments. Under President Andrew Jackson, several counties across the United States were named for his cabinet members, earning them the nickname "Cabinet Counties." Two copies.
