Portrait of Olive Ewing Clapper, signed [and dated February 22, 1947]. Clapper was a writer and lecturer and was married to the well known reporter, Raymond Clapper. She was involved in the League of Women Voters, helped found the Mental Hygiene Society, and was the Vice President of the American Women's Voluntary Services during the war.
