Letters dated from 1943 to 1945, sent to the Osgood family, mostly Jack Osgood, at 500 Butterfield Drive in East Lansing, Michigan. A collection of 49 letters and postcards from various men, mostly men in the armed services, dating from 1943 to 1945. Most of the letters are addressed to Jack Osgood, 500 Butterfield Drive, East Lansing, Michigan, and some are addressed to Mrs. Wayland Osgood at the same address. One correspondent, Oakley D. Thornton, refers to flying model airplanes with Jack Osgood. Most correspondents seem to be buddies from high school and write from various military bases around the U.S. Topics include training, KP duty, specific airplanes, and several letters give advice on passing a psychological exam.
