Masonic Hill

Description:
Also called Mount Moriah, this was the site of the first dedicated Masonic Lodge building in Michigan. Previous to 1847, the Lodge met at various locations around Stoney Creek. Later numbers were reassigned and Detroit became #1 and Rochester/Stoney Creek became #5. (P-369) see also P-39, RRP-446 Photograph Collection
