8x10 black and white Packard Co. file photograph of a 1955 Packard Clipper Constellation, three-quarter left side view, dual white sidewall tires, female behind wheel, man holding golf clubs standing at passenger side. Inscribed on photo back: this Constellation is the powerful star of Studebaker-Packard Corporation's line of 1955 model Clipper cars, in addition to its sleek two tone styling, the Clipper Constellation features torsion level ride, a dramatic new suspension system which eliminates customary coil and leaf springs, but instead uses long torsion bars interconnecting the front and rear wheels, the Clipper Constellation is powered by a new 245-horsepower V-8 engine, Packard models, in the luxury car field, have a new V-8 engine with 260-horsepower, both the new Packard and Clipper lines will have their public announcement in dealer showrooms the week of January 17.
