Schr. [Schooner] E.S.J. Bemis Log for 1867

Description:
One ship's log book entitled "Schr. E.S.J. Bemis Log for 1867." The log book consists of folded sheets of white paper that have been printed with light blue lines and have been bound together with a light tan cord along the left edge. The log has 29 un-numbered pages of entries that have been handwritten in black ink on the recto and verso. The first entry notes: "April 17th, Wednesday, towed out of [?] River by ferry boat, N. York. Wind N.E. Came to anchor in the river." The last entry notes: "Decr. 1, Sunday, got under weigh at 2 a.m. Wind S.S.W. and got to Detroit at 2 P.M. freezing."
