Vase Sherds; Fayoum; Glass vessels; Glass

Notes:

Broken in eight pieces. Rim and neck of vase broken off, but neck was cylindrical and broadened into teardrop shaped body. Mould-blown horizontal band around center of vessel, and vertical band from center to base. Monkey on two sides, has arms and legs around vase. Their heads are against vase, and face in opposite directions. Flat base, with lozenge-shape, has pontil mark. Interior blackened. Bubbling and stress cracks.
