Front view of the rebuilt Detroit Opera House, which was destroyed by fire in 1897 and rebuilt; streetcars, horse-drawn vehicles and pedestrian traffic can be seen in the foreground on Woodward Avenue. Retail establishments occupy the ground floor of the building.
