"This limestone farm dwelling was brought from Chedworth, Gloucestershire in the Cotswold Hills of southwestern England, built approximately 1620, the construction of this house coincided with the first waves of English immigration in the colonies of the New World ... Henry Ford purchased Cotswold Cottage in 1929, the house, barn and fences, which are all made from limestone, were taken apart stone by stone and sent by ship to the United States, the house today is surrounded by Victorian flower gardens and is one of the most picturesque building in the entire village," from Greenfield Village Memories' website.
