- Typewritten letter and envelope sent by the J.L. Hudson Company to Mrs. William H. Johnston of 17 West Bethune Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, accompanying six halftone photographic images of women modeling clothing for the upcoming Fall season. The envelope is postmarked 1918. The letter is on J.L. Hudson Company stationery. The message reads: Dear Madam: We are presenting herewith a group of photographic reproductions of the newer models in Fall apparel. May we not have the pleasure of a personal visit in the near future and a further introduction into what we believe is appropriate in style and texture for the coming season? Yours very truly, The J.L. Hudson Co.

- Pocket-sized ledger book from the J.L. Hudson Company recording purchases made for the Spring of 1884. The dates span December through June, and company names and dollar amounts are listed within. Records begin both at the beginning and end of the book, with the bulk of the central pages left blank. The ledger is bound with a black leather cover opening from the bottom. "J.L. Hudson, Detroit, Mich., Spring 1884," is printed on the front in gold.

The card's cover features the Newcomb-Endicott crest atop a pair of red leaves in the top right corner against a beige background. A half-folded leaf of lightweight paper, bound within by white cord, is printed with the crest and the message, "The favor of your presence is requested at our Fall Opening Wednesday and Thursday October Second and Third Nineteen Hundred and Seven Exhibiting Latest Importations in Gowns, Millinery and Wraps, Foreign Silks and Dress Fabrics.
