- Trade card from the Detroit Stove Works advertising Jewel Stoves and Ranges. A lithograph, credited to H&B, on the recto depicts two rats, one holding reins while carrying a whip and the other holding a parasol, riding a snail. In the upper left corner of the recto are the words "Jewel Stoves and Ranges; Detroit Stove Works; Detroit, Chicago," and on the bottom of the recto is the card's title: "A slow Coach."

- One copyright registration, "No. 1652 H," dated February 10, 1877, issued by the "Library of Congress, Copyright Office, Washington." The registration form is printed in black text on white paper and includes blank lines that have been completed in handwritten black ink text. It indicates that a copyright was issued to the Richmond & Backus Company of Detroit for a "Book or Form" which is described in more specific detail in handwritten text. The registration form was signed in the lower right corner by "A. R. [Ainsworth Rand] Spofford, Librarian of Congress." An oval-shaped embossed seal of the Copyright Office is located in the upper left corner of the form.

- Tri-fold B. Siegel Company pamphlet advertising stockings as a Christmas present. The cover panel is printed with a green half-tone photo of angel figurines with musical instruments posed atop the sheet music for "Silent Night." Inside, the pamphlet contains prices, brief descriptions, and color options of stockings from Artcraft, Sandra, and Archer. The pamphlet also includes a mail order form.

- Announcement from 1880 sent out to retailers by the Michigan Stove Company detailing its reasons for withdrawing its 1879 price list and replacing it with a new one. The recto is printed with two engraved images from J.A. Lowell & Company of Boston of an owl on a post in front of three rocks backed by a doorway leading out into a night sky, and of a peacock atop a stone table in a forest scene. The interior contains text explaining that the 1879 price list was withdrawal due primarily to the "unsettled condition of the market" and increased material costs. An image of the company's trade mark is also contained within. The announcement was printed by the Gulley Printing House of Detroit.

Typical listings included chairs, tables, beds, dressers, rugs, pianos, and stoves. Prices, an example order form, and ordering directions are also shown. An index page is shown near the center of the catalog. Carpet and rug patterns are shown in color.
