- Mounted, sepia-toned photographic print of the horse-drawn fire engine, Engine No. 8, with three firefighters and hitched three horses in front of a firehouse. Matting is a heavy cardstock with four black lines enclosing the photo and "Engine 8" in a blackletter script beneath it.

- Photographic Print (1 copy). Mounted, sepia-toned image of fireman, Clinton Pasco. The full-length portrait of Pasco shows him in his Detroit Firefighter uniform and hat. He is leaning on an ax handle held in his right hand with the blade of the ax resting on the floor and his left hand is placed on his hip with arm bowed out. His shirt has been hand-colored in purple/maroon and the number, "7," has been handwritten on his badge. (His shirt is not colored in the copy photo.) A small three-legged table is to the right of Pasco, with a figurine placed on the table top. Handwriting on verso notes, "Clinton Pasco."

Their firehouse is in the background. "Loaned by Mrs. Agnes Cooney Paul, 511 W. Hildale. Martin Cooney." written on verso. Depicted is either Ladder Company No. 2 or No. 6, with driver Martin Cooney who later became superintendent of horses.

In the background is the Golde Clothes store and also a crowd of people who are standing on the sidewalk. - Charter of the Detroit Fire Department, bound in a red cover, organized on January 20, 1840, and published in this edition in 1878 by O.S. Gulley's Steam Printing House. "Return to Oliver Bourke, 32 Madison Avenue, Detroit," is printed on the front page of the book. Bourke is listed as a trustee of the fire department on that page.

- Program booklet for the Fourth Annual Fireman's Ball held by the Association of Ex-Members Detroit Steam Fire Department at Bamlet's Hall on Monday, April 3, 1899. The booklet consists of a half-folded sheet bound with blue string ending in a brown tassel into a half-folded cover--since torn at the crease--with a color illustration of a firefighter using a hose, while another firefighter runs holding an ax and a hook in the background on the front, and a fire hydrant on the back. The program of dances to be performed as well as the list of committee members are contained within. The program was printed by Watko and Dietz at 690 Gratiot Avenue.

- Hardcover ledger book, bound in a grey cover, used by Martin Cooney, the Superintendent of Horses for the Detroit Fire Department to record the supply and consumption of hay and oats by the department's horses, spanning January 1, 1907 to January 6, 1917. "Chief Martin Cooney, Supt. of Horses," is handwritten on the front free endpaper.

- City of Detroit, Fire Commission appointment certificate, printed by the Calvert Lithograph Company, and issued to Benjamin Vernor, on April 1, 1874, for the term ending April 1878. The certificate contains the signatures of Controller Emery J. Garfield, and Mayor Alexander Lewis, a metallic gold embossed seal of the City of Detroit, engraved imagery from the seal, affixed sepia-toned head-and-shoulder portrait photographs of the fire commissioners Peter Henkel (top left), Jerome Croul (bottom left), Joseph Godfrey (top right), and Benjamin Vernor (bottom right). The certificate is mounted on linen.

- Firemen's Fund Association membership certificate, printed by the Detroit Lithographic Office, and issued to John McDuff on March 4, 1874. The document bears the signatures of President John Hyland, Treasurer James A. Elliott, and Secretary John Kendall, beside a green adhesive embossed Firemen's Fund Association seal. Illustrations of a firefighter speaking into a bugle, as two other firefighters hold a hose, as well as of a team of firefighters riding in an early self-propelled steam-driven fire engine are on the left side of the certificate. The certificate is mounted on linen.
