- Part of a series of anti-Prohibition trade cards which bear comical color lithographic prints and rhymes in support of alcohol, provided "compliments of George H. Gies, 16 Monroe Avenue, Detroit, Mich.," a wine and liquor vendor, and printed by the Compton Lithograph Company of St. Louis. This card depicts and old man with a beard holding a glass of beer and a pipe, while seated aside a table with a newspaper and spectacles. "Against Prohibition No. 6. In robust age with wealth and friends, / Enjoying Beer, his days he spends," is printed below.

- One "Map of the City of Detroit" that was "published exclusively for C. F. Clark & Co.'s City Directory." The map is printed in black ink on white paper and shows streets, street names, ward numbers, and railroad lines. It was printed in 1871 by the Calvert Lithograph Company of Detroit. The names of some of the old ribbon farms are listed along the top of the map.

- Staple and ribbon bound booklet published by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows to campaign for Detroit to host the 1898 meeting of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The booklet contains photographs of Detroit buildings, streets, and sites, as well as articles on its suitableness for conventions, Belle Isle, the St. Clair Flats, Put-in-Bay, Palmer Park, Windsor, Mt. Clemens, Fort Wayne, Grosse Isle, and Oakland County. A section near the end provides background information on Michigan Lodge No. 1, Wayne Lodge No. 2, Oliver Branch Lodge No. 38, Washington Lodge No. 54, Detroit Lodge No. 128, Sides Lodge No. 155, Columbus Lodge No. 215, Riverside Lodge No. 303, Western Lodge No. 370, Eastern Lodge No. 387, Jonathon Lodge No. 394, River Rouge Lodge No. 410, American Eagle Lodge No. 441, Michigan Encampment No. 1, Enterprise Encampment No. 17, Ingersoll Encampment No. 29, Germania Encampment No. 45, and Canton Detroit No. 1 Patriarchs Militant. The booklet closes with messages from Governor Hazen S. Pingree and Mayor William C. Maybury to the Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows urging them to select Detroit.

- One printed map sheet from the "Plan of Private Claims in Michigan Territory as Surveyed by Aaron Greeley in 1810." The map is printed in black ink on white paper and covers the southern portion of the Detroit River region along the west shore of Lake Erie including the "Riviere aux Raisins [River Raisin]", "Riviere au Loutre [Otter Creek]," the "River Huron of Erie," and several other smaller streams and creeks. The southern end of Grosse Isle at the lower end of the Detroit River is also included on this sheet. The map shows the numbers and locations of various ribbon farms (private claims) in the region. Corresponding tables list the name of each property owner, the claim number, and acreage. Boundary lines for townships are also shown along with the corresponding township and range numbers. These numbers extend from T.9.S. [Township 9 South]" up to "T.4.S [Township 4 South]" and from "R.VII.E [Range 7 East]" to "R.X.E [Range 10 East]." A large north arrow is shown in the upper left area of the sheet along with a note concerning magnetic variation. A small inset map of the Huron River is shown in the top center area at a scale of 1 inch = 4 miles. The northern portion of the Detroit River region is covered on a second sheet that was not part of this accession.

- One street map of Detroit and Eastern Wayne County that was published by the Topping-Sanders Company. The multicolor map is printed on paper at an approximate scale of 1.5 inches = 1 mile. It shows streets, street names, city and township boundaries, section numbers, railroad and streetcar lines, and the locations of new residential subdivisions in Detroit. Two inset advertisements in the upper corners promote real estate developments by "Paterson Bros. & Co." A large note in the lower left corner of the map shows "Our Prophesy - Detroit, a Million and a Half in 1925." The map was "compiled and drawn by Wm. Sauer."

- One map entitled "Carte Nouvelle de L'Amerique Angloise Contenant La Virginie, Mary-Land, Caroline, Penssylvania, Nouvelle Iork, N: Iarssey, N: France, et Les Terres Nouvellement Decouerte Dresse sur les Relations les Plus Nouvelles [New Map of English America Containing Virginia, Maryland, Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, New France, and the New Lands Discovered Based Upon the Relations of More News]." The map is printed in black ink on a slightly yellowed linen paper. Red, yellow, blue, and green lines have been used to highlight boundaries and topographic features. It was published by Pierre Mortier in Amsterdam in 1700 just one year before the founding of Detroit in 1701. The map covers the area of the United States and Canada east of the Mississippi River from Hudson Bay southward to the Gulf of Mexico. The names of principal lakes, rivers, forts, towns, and Indian tribal regions are shown in French along with lines of latitude and longitude. A small amount of text is in Spanish and English. An inset map on the left side shows Boston and the adjacent Boston Harbor area.

- One Canadian topographic survey map entitled "Ontario, Sault Ste. Marie Sheet - Portions of Algoma, Sudbury, and Manitoulin Districts." The map area includes the Ontario shoreline region in the vicinity of Sault Ste. Marie and the St. Mary's River. The adjacent Michigan shoreline is also shown. The map was prepared by the Department of the Interior, Canada, at a scale of 1:250,000 and is dated 1912. The map includes details such as lakes, rivers, cities, towns, roads, railroads, Indian reservations, and some elevations as well as township names, township boundaries, concession and section numbers. Water areas are shaded pale green and land areas are white with pale red lines along the Lake Superior, St. Mary's River, and Lake Huron shorelines.

- Booklet containing the 26h annual report made to the board of directors of the Detroit Young Men's Society by its president and chairman of committee, James E. Pittman on April 12, 1859. Discussed within are plans to build a new hall, repairs to the current hall, finances, lectures hosted by the organization, cooperation with the State Historical Society, changes in the group's by-laws, and the growth of the group's library. Also included are a list of present officers and committee members as well as past presidents. The booklet is bound in a green paper cover with a floral border, and a "Rutgers University, Dec. 11 1935, Library," stamp on the cover. It was printed by Barns, French, and Way.
