- Located at 3500 Grand River Avenue North. It was named for settlers whose horses drank from the creek. It was constructed in 1953 with an addition made in 1956. It was annexed to Lansing Public Schools in 1958 and another addition was added in 1961.

- Located at 200 Foster Avenue North. On July 10, 1916, Foster Avenue School became a part of Lansing School system. It had previously been called Columbia Park School. The name change occured in 1917 when it was also remodeled. Additions were also made in 1918 and 1930. Contents include: Yearly PTA history books, documents, correspondence, awards, meeting minutes.

- Located at 1012 Walnut Street North. The original building was constructed in the 1890s and opened in conjunction with Kilborn Street School in 1891. Additions were made in 1905 and 1925. In 1930 it became a school for children with physical disabilities. Kilborn School was replaced in 1924 and in 1937 a new building was constructed. This building was equipped to handle children with orthopedic, hearing, speech, and occupational problems.

- Located at 510 Kalamazoo Street West. Land was purchased in 1881 for school use and the first building was constructed in 1883. The name was Third Ward School in 1888, then Kalamazoo Street School in 1890. A new building was built and opened in 1924. West Junior High was also on the same site.

- Located at 1106 Cedar Street North. Cedar Street School began construction in 1847 and was rebuilt in 1851. This building was rebuilt again with additions in 1876. New additions were again made in 1900 and 1917. The original part of the building was demolished in 1941 when a new entrance was built. Contents include: Scrapbooks, notes, and historical materials from PTA.
