- One navigational chart entitled, "Head of Green Bay and Entrance to Fox River, Wisconsin." The area was "Surveyed in 1845 by Capt. W. G. Williams and Lieut. J. W. Gunnison, Corps Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers] with corrections to date by Lieut. W. F. Raynolds, Corps Topl. Engrs. under the orders of Capt. J. N. Macomb, Corps Topographical Engineers, 1853." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:30,000 and covers about 3 miles of the Fox River and about 6 miles of the head of Green Bay. The towns of Green Bay and Fort Howard, Wisonsin, are shown. The chart includes information such as soundings in feet, lake bottom characteristics, lines of latitude and longitude, shoreline details, roads, and sailing directions. The chart was printed in black ink on white paper and was published by the Bureau of Topographical Engineers, War Department (later known as the Army Corps of Engineers). Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Reduced for engraving by John Lambert and F. Herbst, Draughstman. Engraved by W. H. Dougal under the direction of Capt. T. J. - One navigational chart entitled, "Preliminary Chart of Eagle Harbor, Lake Superior." The chart was "Surveyed and drawn under the direction of Capt. J. N. Macomb, Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers] by Lieut. W. F. Raynolds, Topl Engrs., Assisted by J. U. Mueller, D. F. Henry, and J. Wallace, 1855" with "Aids to navigation corrected to February 29, 1889." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:5,000 and covers about 2 miles of the shoreline along Lake Superior in the vicinity of Eagle Harbor, Michigan. The town of Eagle Harbor is shown along with an inset drawing that shows the approach to the harbor. The chart includes information such as soundings in feet, lake bottom characteristics, lighthouses, roads, and sailing directions. The chart was printed in black ink on white paper and was published by the Topographical Bureau of the War Department (later known as the Army Corps of Engineers). Small printed text in the lower left corner shows "Drawn for engraving by Lt. O. M. Poe, Topl. Engrs. and H. Gillman." Small printed text in the right corner shows "Engraved by W. H. Dougal."
