- One set of architectural "Specifications for Mr. Con [Cornelius] J. Murphy for a Brick Veneered Double Store and Two Flats Above Located on the Northwest Corner of Elmwood and Champlain Streets, Detroit, Michigan." The specifications (Job 254, Set No. 1) are bound in a booklet that has two brass fasteners at the top. The cover is made of heavy tan paper and includes typewritten text for the title. Printed text beneath the title shows the name, "J. Lawson Miller, Architect." The cover interior and outside back cover have printed advertisements for many contractors, tradesmen, and building materials suppliers. The booklet contains 90 pages of typewritten text that give brief descriptions of all of the materials and construction requirements for the project. An index is shown on the first page.

- One architectural drawing entitled "Rear Elevation" and "Front Elevation." The drawing (Job 254) consists of red and black ink on linen and shows two elevation views and wall cross-section detail of a proposed 2-story building. The building was designed for "Mr. Con. [Cornelius] J. Murphy, Owner, Detroit, Michigan," included a saloon on the first floor with two apartments on the second floor. This drawing, shown at a scale of 1/4 inch = 1 foot, was part of a set of eight sheets that were prepared by "J. Lawson Miller, Architect." Some blue, green, and yellow pencil shading has been added on the verso to highlight various architectural details. The building was located at the northwest corner of Elmwood Ave. and Champlain (now E. Lafayette) Street in Detroit.
