- Black and white photo of the State Street face of the Edison Building on the southeast corner of Washington Boulevard and State Street, taken during its conversion from the Edison Illuminating Company's Station A to the company's offices, from across State to the northeast. Several windows, and in some cases, the surrounding brickwork have been removed, and workers are visible inside. A construction canopy has been erected above the sidewalk along State Street. A sign for a loan office is posted on the Sun Building on the left edge of frame. In the background on the right, the Reliable Furniture and Carpet Company, the W. G. Arthur Reid Company, Mazda Lamps, and Fulmer's Cigar Store are visible on the west side of Washington Boulevard. "Main Office Progress - Reconstructing 2nd & 3rd Floor," and "M-5020 12-8-16," are printed along the bottom of the image.

- Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing six workers in the Station A dynamo room of the Edison Illuminating Company which was located at the southeast corner of Washington Avenue (now Boulevard) and State Street. The view shows the workmen who are seated on or standing beside two of the belt-driven dynamos that were located on the upper floor of the building. The dynamos were driven by steam engines that were located below on the ground floor. A small, oval-shaped stamp in the lower left corner of the photo shows "The Detroit Edison Company." Handwritten text on the verso shows "Dynamo Room of Edison Illuminating Co., Detroit, Mich., 1903. Lower Row (L to R): G. E. Harrison, Walter Orr, Charles Benstein. Upper Row (L to R): Aloysius J. Steinmetz, Laurence F. McHugh, Preston Chase."

- Photograph. Sepia-toned photo showing two employees of the Edison Illuminating Company who are seated in a company truck. The vehicle is parked beside the median on Washington Boulevard and the men are wearing heavy overcoats and hats. The vehicle is right-hand drive with the steering wheel being located on the right side. Its engine compartment is covered with an insulating blanket and the ground is lightly covered with snow. A fountain is running in the boulevard median which is creating a winter ice sculpture. The 4-story brick building in the center background area is the Edison Company building (formerly Station A of the Edison Illuminating Company) and the name is shown on a lighted sign at the corner and in stone at the top of the building. Part of St. Aloysius Catholic Church can be seen at the far left side of the photo. A date in the lower right corner of the photo shows "1-14-14." An accompanying typewritten note shows "This photograph was sent to L. C. Nanry by Jack Redfield, appliance service supervisor for Consumers Power, 9/22/58. Employees shown in truck are: driver - Joseph Henrion, passenger - Fred Lemelin."

A large flag is flown from the building's roof. An Albert A. Albrecht Company, Builders sign is posted on a construction canopy over the sidewalk along the office's State Street face. Signs for shoe repair and jewelry stores are posted on the Sun Building, beside Detroit Edison along State. The edge of the Cadillac Hotel, to the south of Detroit Edison along Washington, is visible along the right edge of frame. Cars, pedestrians, and streetcar rails are visible in the streets below. "General Office - Detroit Edison War Flag Raising," and "M-5237 4-6-17." are printed along the bottom edge of the image.
