- Color postcard depicting the Casino on Belle Isle, with paths extending in to the foreground. Printed on verso: Casino, Belle Isle. Belle Isle is in the Detroit River between Detroit and Windsor, Canada. The Island contains 702 acres and is entirely covered with one of the most beautiful parks in the United States, having some 21 miles of Macadam Roads; a magnificent Casino; Pavilions; Boat Houses; Aquarium; Horticultural Hall and Zoological Gardens. The island was purchased by Detroit in 1879, and has since then expended $1,600,000 in beautifying it. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jul 21, 1911.

These are the two large thoroughfares leading from the Campus Martius at the corner of which is shown the Majestic Building which is the second largest building in Detroit. - Postcard. Color illustration of the Elks Temple and adjacent buildings on Monroe Street. Visible business signs include "L. Friedman, Optician", "Rall's Chocolate Shop", "Louis S. Simon", "Temple Barber Shop" and "Thiry'". A car is parked on the street. Printed on the verso, "The Elks' Temple. Monroe Avenue is one of the many handsome buildings to be found in the busy thoroughfare. It is nine stories in height, the seven lower floors being used for business and office purposes, while the remaining two floors are given over entirely to lodge rooms, which are commodious and very artistically decorated." Handwritten note on verso reads "Dear Glen, arrived in Detroit last eve. We are on the Boat for Belle Isle and it's lovely. Detroit is one jam. People everywhere. - Lovingly, Aunt Adda" Postmarked Jul 13, 1910.

Signs read "Queen Anne Soap", "Hotel Wilson", "Hats, Shirts", "Sanitol", and "Avenue Theatre, Vaudeville Extravaganza". Printed on verso: Woodward Avenue, Detroit, Mich. Woodward Avenue enjoys the unusual distinction of being both Detroit's leading business and residence street. It is named in honor of Judge Woodward, one of Detroit's foremost citizens in the pioneer days, and stretches approximately north and south. At its foot are the ferry docks where boats leave regularly for Windsor, Ont., Belle Isle and Bois Blanc Island. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Mar 18, 1913.
