- Color postcard depicting the Hudson's Building and Pardridge & Blackwell Building from the intersection of Farmer and Monroe Streets. Business signs read "Johnson's Chop House", "P. & B.", and "Lume's Stag Hotel", with a streetcar, pedestrians, and horse-drawn vehicles visible. Printed on verso: Pardridge & Blackwell's and J.L. Hudson's Big Department Stores occupy opposite corners of Gratiot Avenue and Farmer Street. Both are department stores of the mot advanced type and occupy their own buildings, especially constructed for their own use, each taking up virtually half a complete city square. The corner which they occupy has often been termed the heart of Detroit's retail district. Handwritten message on verso, postmarked Jan 14, 1909.

- Color postcard depicting the lumber yard at the Murphy Chair Company, with a shed, barrel, and tracks visible. Printed on verso: Yard View. This card gives you a view of one of our lumber tracks, and is presented to show you the manner in which we store out boards to insure perfect seasoning. The shed shown extended to the right at the upper end and to the left at the office end, in shape like [zigzag line] and is 1946 ft. long with a storage capacity for 3,330,900 feet of lumber. The frame building is the yard Master's office. We shall take you through our entire plant with a series of these cards and trust they may be of interest to you. Murphy Chair Company, Detroit. - Color postcard depicting the floral clock in Water Works Park, with a smokestack in the background. Printed on verso: Floral Clock, Water Works Park. The 72-acre plot of ground on Jefferson Avenue, owned by the city and partially occupied by its waterworks pumping station has been made one of Detroit's beauty spots. The water supply is pumped through a long tunnel from Lake St. Clair to the distributing point. The park is remarkable for its big floral clock and the memorial at the entrance.
