- One navigational chart entitled, "Chart No. 1 of River Ste. Marie from Point Iroquois to East Neebish." The area was "Surveyed under the direction of Captain J. N. Macomb, Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers] in 1853, 1854, & 1855, with additions to date under the orders of Captain G. G. Meade, Topl. Engrs., 1857." The chart was drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and covers several miles of the St. Mary's River both upstream and downstream of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with information such as soundings in feet, river bottom characteristics, shoreline details, lighthouses, and sailing directions. The chart was printed in black ink on white paper and was published by the Bureau of Topographical Engineers of the War Department (later known as the Army Corps of Engineers). Small printed text in the lower right corner shows "Engraved by W. H. Dougal." Small printed text in the lower left corner shows "Reduced for Engraving by J. U. Mueller."

It was "Projected from a Trigonometrical Survey executed under the orders of Major C. B. Comstock, Corps of Engineers." The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:40,000 and shows the Detroit River from Wind Mill Point at the lower end of Lake St. Clair down to Pointe Mouillée at the lower end of the river. Land areas are shaded in pale yellow. River/lake areas are shown in white and pale green. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in feet. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses and buoys are also noted. An inset chart on the lower right side provides additional details of the ship channel in the vicinity of Amherstberg and the mouth of the Detroit River.

- One navigational chart entitled, "Coast Chart No. 1, North End of Green Bay Including Northwest Shore of Lake Michigan," that was compiled and published as part of the Survey of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes (War Department, Corps of Engineers). It was prepared under the direction of Major Charles Keller and Major C. S. Riché of the Corps of Engineers. The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:120,000 and shows the northwestern end of Lake Michigan and Green Bay from Arthur Bay, Wisconsin, to Seul Choix Point on the south shore of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Land areas are shaded in pale yellow. Lake areas are shown in white and light blue. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in feet and fathoms. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses and buoys are also shown along with notes for sailing directions, dangers and water level data. The chart was originally published in 1910, but a note indicates that aids to navigation have been corrected to March 24, 1922. Two inset maps in the upper left corner of the chart show enlarged details of Cedar River, Wisconsin, and Nahma, Michigan.

- One navigational chart entitled, "Lake Superior Chart No. 3" that was compiled and published as part of the Survey of the Northern and Northwestern Lakes (War Department, Corps of Engineers). It was "Projected from a Trigonometrical Survey" that was executed under the orders of Lt. Col. W. F. Raynolds and Major C. B. Comstock of the Corps of Engineers as well as from local surveys done by Capt. J. N. Macomb, Capt. G. G. Meade, and Col. J. D. Graham of the Corps of Engineers. The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:400,000 and shows the western end of Lake Superior from Duluth, Minnesota, to the western end of Isle Royale. Land areas are shaded in various gray textures based upon existing land characteristics. Lake areas are shown in white. Distances are given in statute miles. Soundings for lake depths are given in fathoms. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lighthouses are also shown along with notes for sailing directions, dangers and water level data. The chart was originally published in 1873, but a note indicates that aids to navigation have been corrected to January 1, 1880. An adhesive label in the upper left corner shows "Detroit, Mar. 5th, 1884, Presented to the Tug, Chas. E. Bird."

The chart (No. 0) is a polyconic projection and is drawn at a scale of 1:1,200,000. It shows all of the Great Lakes region from Duluth, Minnesota, to Lake Champlain and the Hudson River in New York. General topographic details and notes are printed in black. Land areas are shaded pale yellow. Lake areas are shaded white or light blue depending upon water depth and also include contour lines for water depths in fathoms. Lines of latitude and longitude are shown in black. Lines of magnetic variation are shown in red. Principal lighthouses are shown in red and yellow. Information tables are shown on the right and left sides of the chart for U. [Topographical Engineers] by Lieut. W. F. Raynolds, Topl Engrs., Assisted by J. U. Mueller, D. F. Henry, and J. Wallace, 1855" with "Aids to navigation corrected to February 29, 1889." - One chart entitled "Survey of the Mouth of Clinton River, Michigan" that was made by Capt. A. Canfield, U.S.T.E. (United States Topographical Engineers) who was assisted by J. F. Munro and J. Holcroft, Civil Engineers. The chart was drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 400 feet and is printed in black ink on white paper. It shows a simple topographical survey that covers about 4000 feet at the mouth of the Clinton River as it flows into Lake St. Clair. Survey information includes areas of rushes adjacent to the river, water depths in feet, depth contour lines, a lighthouse, and a cross-section detail. - Navigational chart entitled, "Map of the Delta of the St. Clair [River]," that was compiled by Lieutenants J. N. Macomb and W. H. Warner "under the direction of Captain W. G. Williams, U. S. Corps of Topl. Engrs. [Topographical Engineers]." The survey work is dated 1842. The chart is drawn at a scale of 1:15,840 (four inches = 1 mile) and shows the area at the outlets of the North, Middle, and South Channels of the St. Clair River which flow into Lake St. Clair. The chart is drawn in black ink on slightly yellowed paper and shows shorelines, water depths in feet, marsh areas, navigational channels, a north arrow and magnetic north, and survey triangulation points. A small inset map in the upper left corner shows Lake St. Clair, the lower St. Clair River, and the upper Detroit River.
