- Ruth Ann King moderates a discussion of the era of student unrest, activism and strikes on the Michigan State University campus in reaction to the shootings at Kent State University in May 1970 and the U.S. bombing of Cambodia during the Vietnam War. Participants talk about where they were during the protests, what they witnessed, and their level of participation. A former military science professor recalls interim president Walter Adams and his interaction with the students at Demonstration Hall and a discussion ensues about the differences between Adams and President Clifton Wharton.

Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore, dean of the MSU Honors College, convenes the session and moderates questions from the audience. Part of the series "Sharper Focus/Wider Lens" sponsored by the MSU Honors College. Held in the MSU Student Union.

- Dr. George Eyster, DVM, describes his forty-four year career in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Eyster recalls his farm upbringing, his journey to veterinary medicine and MSU, the evolution of the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine and his role in creating one of the strongest veterinary cardiology programs in the country. Eyster also discusses his pioneering work in veterinary medicine, the major changes in the field during his career, his fondness for MSU and his colleagues and the various leadership roles he played during his career.
