- Buildings in downtown Birmingham located on the west side of [Old] Woodward, just north of Maple Road. The corner building in the foreground is occupied by Levinson's Department Store. In the background are residences along Maple Road and a firehose tower. The photographer was Louis James Pesha, who owned and operated Pesha Postcard Company of Marine City, Michigan. - West side of [Old] Woodward Avenue in downtown Birmingham, looking north from intersection at Maple. Woodward is unpaved. The image of a biplane has been superimposed on the original photograph to create a novelty postcards. The photographer, Louis James Pesha, was known for these whimsical images.
