- Comstock's appliance shop, but no the same one that was at 232 Bond NW. It may be their second store that was at 4404 South Division. Norge stove and and open refrigerator, even showing the motor, in the windows and two wringer washers out in front of the store. They also advertise automobile tires and batteries sold on instant credit.

- Storefront of Van's Radios Sales and Service at 958 Burton Street SE also washing machines and "electric refrigerators." In the windows an open refrigerator, a stove and washing machine are displayed with cardboard cutouts of well-dressed women pointing out features of the appliances. A large advertisement uses Ripley, in Believe It or Not, to extol the Rollator made by Borg-Warner Co. of Detroit, which comes with a ten-year guarantee.
