- Rochester High School, located on the southeast corner of Fifth (University) and Wilcox Streets. The original building, facing Fourth Street, was built in 1899 and is commonly known as Avon School District #5 School House, the Old Rochester High School building, or Harrison building. This expansion was begun in 1916 and continued into the 1920s. The building currently serves as the Rochester Community School Administration Building. - The Western Knitting Mills factory was built in 1896 and produced knitted goods until 1939. The building was later owned by the McAleer Manufacturing Company, later known as the Higbie Manufacturing Company, and then ITT Higbie. The bell tower was later removed and the building and its 1916 addition currently serves as the Rochester Community School Administration Building.
