- Russian prisoners in the YMCA orchestra perform in an outdoor concert for sick and wounded POW's at Crossen-an-der-Oder. The Association provided musical instruments and sheet music to prisoners to help them form bands and orchestras to provide entertainment to the general prison population.

- Prisoners perform an outdoor concert and theatrical performance for sick and wounded prisoners in the courtyard of the hospital at Grafenwoehr. These performances helped lift the spirits of men recovering from illnesses or wounds.

- French orderlies provide care for the sick and wounded Allied prisoners in a hospital ward at Giessen. The beds are full of recovering soldiers and the ward is well heated by the large stoves in the center aisle of the building. While many of the patients can sit up for the photo, one of the African prisoners appears quite ill. Four prisoners are playing a card game in the center of the ward.
