- Print containing six engravings, taken from the booklet, Souvenir of Detroit & Exposition, depicting locations in Detroit, spread across two leafs. A large image of City Hall is in the center, as viewed from Campus Martius, facing southwest. The McGraw Building behind it is partially visible. Michigan Central Station, identified here as the "M.C.R.R. Union Depot, on the southwest corner of Third Street and West Woodbridge Street is at the upper left in a rectangular frame. Below it, is the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Campus Martius, and the side of the Russell House in the background, framed in a circle. At the upper right, is another rectangular panel, this one depicting the pumping station and tower in Water Works Park. A circle bearing the image of a five story building with a dome-shaped tower, labeled "Y.M.C.A. Building Detroit." "Copyrighted 1887 by Ward Bros. Columbus O." printed in lower right corner.

- Invitation to the unveiling of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, printed with a message from the Committee on Invitations Chairman, Russell A. Alger. The invitation had been half folded, on one only face printed upon, then folded again in thirds. The invitation reads: Michigan Soldiers and Sailors Monument Detroit, 6th March, 1872 Sir You are respectfully invited to attend the Ceremony of unveiling the Monument at this place; Tuesday, April 9th, 1872 at 1 o'clock P.M. - Pass to the speaker's stand for the unveiling of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, on April 9th, 1872. The ticket is printed in black, red, and green, on white cardstock, with the message, "Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Unveiling Ceremony, Detroit, Tuesday, April 9, 1872. Admit the bearer to the speakers stand. "Unveiling ceremony," is printed within a scroll motif, and the corners are decorated with scrollwork flourishes. The verso bears the signature of Russell A. Alger.

- Membership certificate, designed by the Calvert Lithographing Company, from the Michigan Soldiers' Monument Union, awarded to William Monroe by the Schools of Michigan in exchange for his donation of 10 cents toward the construction of the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. The design includes a central image of two women, three uniformed soldiers, and a dog mourning around a flag-draped casket. Battlefield scenes decorate the corners of the borders.

- Colorized halftone print of a photograph depicting the west side of Campus Martius, as viewed from an elevated position, likely from the Pontchartrain Hotel. The primary copy has bolder colors and is mounted on beige cardstock. The secondary copy has lighter colors, and includes the title, "'The Heart of Detroit' - Reproduced from Photograph," as well as the notation, " Jos. Mack, Printer, Detroit." Both versions include captions below labeling the Post Office, City Hall, Pardridge and Blackwell in the Majestic Building, the Michigan Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, Merrill Fountain, and the Opera House. A sign reading, "Welcome National Hay Association" is posted on the front of City Hall. The moonlight tower in front of City Hall on the corner of Woodward Avenue and Michigan Avenue is visible. Electric streetcars, horse-drawn carriages, and pedestrians are on the streets below. "1902-1903" handwritten on lower right corner of secondary copy, and "Fine Cigars and Tobacco, Confectionary, Soft Drinks, and School Supplies, Etc., 528 Dix Ave. Detroit, Mich." stamped on its verso.
