- A "Pearl Mills" wagon full of bags of flour, at the corner of Turner Street and Grand River Avenue in North Lansing. Pearl Mills, later the Breisch Milling Company, operated at that location for 75 years before being torn down in August of 1926 to be replaced by a "modern oil and repair station" (Lansing State Journal, May 19, 1926, page 2). In the photograph from left to right are employees George E. Palmer, Frank Chaffee, and the wagon driver Del Baker. The photograph was donated by Mrs. George Palmer.

- A large group of unidentified people in a dirt road with streetcar tracks. Some of the men pictured are holding musical instruments, including one with a bass drum which reads "Prince's Military Band, Lansing." In the background at left can be seen the Emily A. Atkins Bazaar, at 315 East Franklin Street (now Grand River Avenue). The location is North Lansing. The attached photograph is a copy of the original which is severely damaged. Both are in the Local History Collection.

- An oral history from Thelma E. Sanford, the daughter of Arthur C. Haite, who ran a furniture business and funeral home in Lansing in the early 20th century. Along with her interview, Mrs. Sanford provided several photocopied newspaper clippings and photos. She was interviewed by her daughter Patricia Sanford Brown at her home at Burcham Hills, East Lansing, on August 22, 1990. A transcript for this recording is linked with the audio files below.
